Vulpiano Records

Marilyn Roxie

Vulpiano Records was launched in November 2009 by synth musician Marilyn Roxie, initially as a place to house great unsigned and independent artists they had come in contact with through networking in the music blogosphere. The concept behind Vulpiano is simple: to offer quality free music. Genres we specialize in are ambient, electronic, and acoustic. All artists are linked by their spirit of independence and experimentation. We hope you enjoy and share the music. Are you a music blogger, podcaster, or film-maker looking to feature a Vulpiano track in your content non-commercially? You can utilize any of the tracks in the Vulpiano library free for streaming or download as long as you credit the artist!

J.G. Hackett -  The Sins of Science  (VULP-0053) Following recent Vulpiano Records single  Bootleg Romanticism , here comes J.G. Hackett with his first album for the label in 3 years. The Sins of Science is designed to be as overproduced as possible. My inspiration for this was Tears for Fears' 1989 album The Seeds of Love, which has always been one of my absolute favourites. The album is packed with glossy, infectious tunes that could all be potential radio hits. Indeed, the opener...

VULP-0023 is British synth pop/rock artist J.G. Hackett's third album, Trans-Racial-Impression. In an era of exciting electronic experimentation combined with nods to retro synth styles, this album not only fits in but goes more than a little beyond expectation. With catchy beats and rhythm (State of Flux, Too Many Times) appearing alongside more harrowing numbers (Johnny Drank His Own Future) and truly stand-out tracks that deserve repeating, the previously highlighted Dereliction and moving...

(VULP-0055) The second single pulled from J.G. Hackett's The Sins of Science , Shadow Torture is a stand-out track from the release, grandiose and somehow pretty and fragile at the same time, perhaps because of the lyrical content and intent behind the song. Hackett says: "This piece reflects on the difficulties of coping with internal pain and anxiety while trying to maintain an outer aura of competence - "I want nothing more than a stable mind, tired of waiting for justice."...

J.G. Hackett - Bootleg Romanticism (VULP-0052) Bootleg Romanticism is J.G. Hackett's first release for Vulpiano since Trans-Racial Impression back in 2011. This single contains "Bootleg Romanticism" and b-side "Across the Ages", both slick and catchy and nodding towards the tropes of rock production. The release is in anticipation of his upcoming album, The Sins of Science, nearly four years in the making. Hackett says: The album this comes from -...
